She was a cousin of my great grandmother's. I found out that she died in 1988 but cannot find any information as to where she lived or did from 1940 until her death.
Does anyone have information about her?Sharonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6747768554703669866.post-46730602129230009722013-07-02T21:04:43.732-04:002013-07-02T21:04:43.732-04:00Christopher, my thanks for this. I'd blame it on the summer heat - but this summer?

Thank you also for the kind words about the blog. Now you've got me scrambling to catch up on yours. Wonderful stuff. And I must add that you have a sale in me for your Mackenzie King book.Brian Busbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04120341319506205062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6747768554703669866.post-62538370775466899802013-07-02T09:02:15.399-04:002013-07-02T09:02:15.399-04:00A quick note to say that I have been absolutely lo...A quick note to say that I have been absolutely loving this blog after discovering it just last week. As for John King's _The Other Side of the Story_ above, I believe this John King was Mackenzie KIng's father. And of course, the other side of the story is that of his own father who fought on the side of those putting down the 1837 rebellion in Upper Canada. The side that usually got told in the King household was doubtless that of his wife Isabel's father, William Lyon Mackenzie....

At the very least I know that Mackenzie King kept a copy of this book in his library in Laurier House and that commentators remarked upon it when the house was first turned into a museum in 1951 - that and the reward for 1000 pounds for his rebel grandfather that King also put on the wall, right next to his very own British Order of Merit!Christopher Dummitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05063266631046047675noreply@blogger.com
