The True North...
From Canada 1962, a proud publication of the Dominion Bureau of Statistics' Information Services Division, further evidence that we were once a stronger, gentler people.
A stronger people indeed. That's 137 pounds of Zucca that gentleman is holding up, with nary a sign of strain. By the account I've read, those melons were also as slippery as "greased pigs."
And, I dare say, the strong man doesn't appear to be a spring chicken. I understand both of Louis Cyr's children died in infancy, so am at a loss for an explanation.
